my name is lily barr and i am a creative from the san francisco bay area. i have an immense love for fashion photography, styling, and writing.

these passions are rooted in not only my visual arts background, but also my close relationship with my mother: a local seamstress and style icon. she raised me to appreciate fashion materially, as well as philosophically—such that i see the clothes we wear as a perpetual mirror of our childhoods and adulthoods, experiences and fantasies, insecurities and self-assurances.

in this way, my projects aim to illustrate the many facets of being human.
